About Me
Thank you for taking the time to visit Naveed Shan Training Systems. As I’m sure you’ve already figured out, my name is Naveed Shan and I am a Personal Trainer. I hesitate to use the term “trainer” because it can conjure up visions of some guy who stands over you mindlessly counting your reps of curls while he scrolls through his phone or checks out the girl in spandex walking by. Not all personal trainers fit the stereotype and I’m here to break that stigma. My goal goes past the hour one would spend with a personal trainer, I’m here to help change people’s lives. I have been in the fitness industry since 2006 and I’ve made exercise, nutrition and health my major passion in life, in addition to my work. I earned degrees in Psychology and Exercise & Wellness from Arizona State University, as well as various training certifications through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. As a child and even into adulthood, I struggled with my weight, being anywhere from thirty to eighty pounds overweight. After many attempts to get in shape through various fad diets and exercise programs, I learned how to properly and safely lose weight while gaining lean body mass, becoming stronger, and still living a normal and awesome life.
